About

Building Safe, Trusted, Responsible AI

Most recently a senior leader of GenAI products at Google, I have spent almost two decades as a leader in  AI, tech design, policy and research.

I hold a PhD (2020) from Stanford in Tech Design during which time my work was featured in The Atlantic, The NationThe Root and beyond.  I have been a speaker at the White House, UC Berkeley, Aspen Institute, the UN. and more.

I write, teach, and speak widely about the opportunities and risks of Generative AI.  I am hopeful about the possibilities of AI to improve life for everyone, including the most vulnerable populations. And believe that the time is now to set the course of these powerful tools in a direction that serves us all.

Things I do

words, ideas, thoughts are my own.
